Amite Pentecostal Church is located in Amite, Louisiana, in Tangipahoa Parish. 

MISSION

APC's mission is to seek and save those who are lost, to reconcile them with God.  Our mission is to reach out to all people and share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to preserve the Apostolic doctrine by teaching repentance, baptism in Jesus' name, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost through evidence of speaking in tongues.​
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 15:20) 

CORE BELIEFS

APC follows the Apostolic doctrine, which believes in the Oneness of God, water baptism in Jesus' name, and evidence of the Holy Ghost through speaking in tongues.
We are affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) and align with the core beliefs of the organization. 
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38)

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative written Word of God. ​It is the guide for salvation and Christian living.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:(II Timothy 3:16)

Oneness of God

We believe there is only One True God. ​Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He is both God and man. ​
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (Ephesians 4:4-6)

Sin and Salvation

All have sinned and need the salvation of God. ​Salvation is obtained by God's grace through faith in the blood atonement of Jesus Christ through his crucifixion. 
​For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Romans 3:23-25)

The Gospel of Christ

We believe the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We are saved through repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and baptism of the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues as the spirit gives the utterance. This is our death, burial, and resurrection in Christ. ​
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. The Rapture

We believe Jesus Christ is coming again to catch His church away. There will be a final resurrection and judgement and the righteous will inherit eternal life and the unrighteous eternal death. 
​For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
